Staff

A dedicated and caring staff makes our programs strong.

Qualifications

  • All of Camelot School's teachers have earned college degrees, Child Development Associate Credentials (CDA), or have met the standards set by Coordinated Child Care and Pinellas County Licensing Board.

  • Our staff members receive annual continuing education to develop and strengthen their skills and to stay current on developing research and techniques in Early Childhood Education. Classes included are:

Brain Research
Emergent Literacy
Child Growth and Development
Preschool Appropriate Practices
Health, Safety, and Nutrition
Child Care Facility Rules and Regulations
Behavior Observation
Identifying and Reporting Child Abuse and Neglect

Caring Staff

  • Great care has been used selecting staff members. Teachers have been chosen for their unique skills and special talents.

  • Our caring and nurturing environment helps a child feel welcome, cultivates creativity, and promotes academic success.

Safety

  • All of our staff members have emergency incident/weather preparedness training.

  • All of Camelot School's teachers have passed the Florida Department of Law Enforcement employee screening and fingerprinting process and have undergone an employee history check as an initial part of the employment process.

  • During hours of operation, there are always present staff members that have been trained in CPR and First Aid Training.

  • School and playground equipment is safe and well maintained, as per Coordinated Child Care and the Pinellas County Licensing Board.

Communication

  • Traditional as well as informal methods are used in order to ensure communication with parents.

  • All teachers are committed to a direct partnership with parents working together to support each child's education and development.
